Imagine me, realizing
That I am the friend and the foe
And the words I speak today
Are just part of the show
And if I would quiet and listen
The difference I would know
Between the act of my friend
And the wisdom of my foe
Imagine me, knowing
That I am the love and the hate
And the love I create today
I will soon desecrate
And if I would humble my ego
The difference I would feel
Between the illusion of hate
And the love that was real
Imagine me, hearing
That I am the beauty and the beast
And the beauty I am today
Will soon fade and release
And if I would surrender I would come forward
With sacred increase
By the strength of my beauty
And the will of my beast
Imagine my freedom
From the rights and the wrongs
Because they both live inside me
Like the sun and the storm
And if I would but reflect
On both sides of my coin
I would be grateful for the rights
Sacrificed by my wrongs
