Breathe.Gratitude.Love.

Sometimes it feels like your sacrifices will forever go unappreciated. This may in fact be true. I certainly cannot fully comprehend the sacrifices made by others on my behalf, nor can I fully recognize the sacrifices that I have made for others.

Even so, I will do my best to thank you for what you’ve done so far. Because maybe you are not living the life you envisioned. Maybe your dreams of an amplified voice faded into a reality of repetitive mundane tasks. Perhaps you lost your joyous laugh to dismal cries for justice.

Maybe you spent many years in anger and depression- anger at the countless and thoughtless derailments, and depression for allowing yourself to be derailed in the first place.

Then one day you realized that where you are is where you are. You let go of the idea of the life you wanted by challenging the anger, fighting the resentment and befriending the depression. You embraced yourself as whole and you accepted the entirety of who you are.

You learned to love yourself in the absence of a blueprint. You began to see the beauty in each sacrifice and trust that your life still has meaning. You welcomed your innate power with opened arms. You bound yourself to mastering your own spirit, measuring your own worth and knowing your own value.

You no longer require anyone- not even yourself- to acknowledge your sacrifices because you live faithfully within the present moment. You allow your worries and anxieties to have their say, and then you speak peace over your own existence. Your life mantra centers you in the infinite well of your power. You freed yourself and became your own hero.

Your soul lays open and vulnerable as you protect and honor the empathic energy that flows through your being like the light of a meditative candle. You journey forward bravely, allowing your path to unfold from the promise of each inspired step.

And I say thank you.

Thank you for the work that goes unnoticed. It raises the vibration of those around you. Thank you for the sacrifices that melt into the present moment. They pave the way for the next seven generations. Thank you for creating a path through the overgrown and abandoned fields. New communities arise from the wisdom of your conscious footsteps. Thank you for cultivating your silent craft. It heals the hearts and minds of those who stand in your shadow.

I place these words in the current of Human consciousness that they may capture all who seek refuge in the arms of connected sacrifice.
