The heads-down position of survival keeps us focused on attempting to get the things we feel are lacking in our lives. These places of lack branch into never ending tunnels that keep us on a constant search for an absence. Seeking an absence surrounds us with people and circumstances that validate the existence of this illusion.
The healing path reveals the truth of seeking. We no longer believe in the concept of external people and circumstances as controllers of our good. We now know that all we need is inside of us and we prioritize the uncovering of our internal treasures .
The new level of awareness introduced by healing is more than we could have imagined. Our gratitude for this awareness pours in endless streams. We feel the need for nothing more than the joy and contentment of the present moment. We reflect on challenges of the past, celebrate our accomplishments and wonder how we ever made it. Sentiment keeps us attached to the tools used to survive the past as we attempt to keep them as trophies.
But as the journey evolves, so must our ability to effectively navigate our new landscape. The tools of a downward-bending survival mentality cannot accommodate the needs of higher-level vision. The soul cannot remained cramped and limited by the survival mindset of the past. It must be given free reign to design a rich, expansive and forward-facing trajectory.
It is challenging to let go of the tools that once gave us a sense of security. We become addicted to the predictability of work-based income and benefits. We cling to unhealthy relationships for fear of never finding anyone else to love us. We fight to keep things we do not want for fear of having nothing at all. But true freedom is found in letting go of things that do not work for our newly unveiled destiny. We recognize the journey of our soul as one that propels us forward and trust the intricate unfolding of the necessary cooperating circumstances.
Surrender to the unfolding of life releases us from attachment to our version of how things should be. It takes integrity to let go of what we don’t want even when there is nothing to replace it on the horizon. This act of integrity is the first step in living an upgraded life. Being responsible with our time and resources clears the space to receive what we really need in order to evolve, and the corresponding materialization shows up in our reality. Perhaps our expanded heart space correlates to an expanded external living space, or perhaps our consistently engaged creativity correlates to an external art or writing studio.
We embrace these upgrades as a part of Spiritual growth as we continue to share our transitional journey with those who are drawn to our unique expressions. We are here, and we are worth it. Enjoy.
