Life can push us to an edge that forces us to make one of two choices: go back to the same people, places and circumstances that no longer serve us, or leap faithfully into something new. These pushes seem to come out of nowhere. One minute everything is going according to our carefully thought-out plan, and the next we are completely disoriented and unsatisfied with where we are.

Many of us will meet this edge more than once. We talk ourselves back to the safety of familiar ground with programmed rationalizations. Perhaps we tell ourselves we are too old, we don’t have enough money, or that we’re just tired of trying to make things work. Still the edge is persistent, and continues to show up to our internal calls for change. Our rationalizations begin to fade in the presence of our deepest desires for a new life.
The more we visit the edge, the more familiar we are with the path it takes to get there. We see the signs of change, and we prepare for the moment of truth with introspection:
- Am I happy with how I show up in the world right now?
- Am I as kind and loving to myself as I would like to be?
- Are my talents misused, hidden, or restrained in service to my external roles?
- Am I able to truly relax and enjoy myself and those I love?
If the answer to these questions leave us feeling empty, it may be time to consider the path that requires a leap of faith. It is time to remember that life is progressive. It invites us to see things from increasingly higher levels, allowing us to be increasingly more of who we really are. The only failure is the one that keeps us from trying.

Help is always available to us when we face the moment of the leap as we call forth the strength and courage that lives within.
Healing Affirmations

I invite you now to breathe in a few affirmations to sustain our momentum as we take a leap of faith. We recognize our lives as progressive, and we heal the areas that hold us back from believing in ourselves. So now, let’s breathe in these healing affirmations:
- Everything that I need is inside of me
- I treat myself with respect, with love, and with kindness
- I am free to express my truest self
- I am open and available to prosperity and success
- I release all resistance to my becoming
You are seen, you are heard, and you are understood.
It is released.
